George Leader

Assistant Professor, The College of New Jersey

George Leader is an Assistant Professor at The College of New Jersey, specializing in the Earlier Stone Age and cultural transmission throughout the archaeological record.

He has spent the past 15 years working on sites throughout southern Africa.

George received his BA from Gettysburg College in the United States, and his MSc and Ph.D. from University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

George currently co-directs the Survey and Archaeology of the Namib Desert Surface (SANDS) project in the Sand Sea and central Namibia.
