The Centre is part of national, regional and international networks of research associations and institutions.

Gobabeb is connected to the education sector, including the Ministry of Education, and education institutions ranging from primary to tertiary level, such as the Polytechnic of Namibia, the University of Namibia, Teachers’ Colleges of Education, schools, and universities in other SADC countries and worldwide.

Gobabeb's natural resource management programmes provide strong support to the land and water management responsibilities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry. Gobabeb also relates to Local Authorities, including Regional Councils, Municipalities, Traditional Authorities, and Basin Management Committees.

The evolution of Gobabeb’s relationship with many partners remains fascinating as it provides many opportunities of understanding the development of environmental management in Southern Africa.
