For the past 50 years Gobabeb Research and Training Centre has been a hub of research on deserts and dryland ecology. At Gobabeb we hold the philosophy that research is most effective when it can be shared with learners at all levels. Our training department provides courses on desert ecology and sustainable living to over 1,000 learners a year, including primary and secondary school learners, tertiary level students, and local community members. Training Assistant Interns assist us in the training of learners in a variety of subjects including desert ecology, scientific inquiry, and appropriate technology. Vacant internships are regularly advertised here - keep an eye on the Vacancies section.
