The PV Wind system is a stand-alone system which is not connected to the Gobabeb mini-grid. Energy from the wind and the solar PV is stored in the batteries and supplied to the Clay house and its kitchenette.

The system is fitted with two Ampere-hour meters allowing for monitoring of the two energy resources.
